ENVIROMENT

Helen Falls Lodge enviroment caribou

The salmon congregate in our exclusive fishing section which stretches over 4 km by tens of thousands and stay there longer than anywhere else in the river given the immense rapids that slow down their upstream migration.

We have a multitude of pools that form and change as the water rises and falls. So there are never bad fishing conditions and the salmon are always strong! You will not run out of attacks but will you be able to convert them into success …? This is the challenge that Helen Falls offers!

In addition to the salmon and char,  the George River also hosts a fair population of lake trout and brook trout, which are generally located below camp in the larger pools and back eddies.

You will also have access to a helicopter, which you can use as you wish and subject to weather conditions where you can fish for huge arctic char or brook trout which abound not far from our camp. The thrills and memories of a lifetime are guaranteed during these outings where you will be able to observe polar bears, musk ox, not to mention unforgettable landscape; cliffs, fjords, and steep mountain valleys bordered by the majestic Torngat mountains.
